You will stand a good chance if you belong to the chemist user-group and regularly post good quality posts.
"Say you're in a [chemical] plant and there's a snake on the floor. What are you going to do? Call a consultant? Get a meeting together to talk about which color is the snake? Yeah, like Mark Kness or Lemonoman. Users with beakers, instead of stars.

Hey, look who's here...it's lemonoman!

Thanks for the shoutout Albert! :)

I believe you have to be accreditted or enrolled in a chemistry degree program.  i.e. Have or be working towards getting a B.Sc. (Chem).

And it can't be overemphasized that consistently good-quality posts are essential.  For example, one time I suggested to make a paintball grenade with glass in it.  That's obviously a foolish idea.  Albert (and other staff members, like Mitch, Borek, etc) set a good example will all their replies; they are always knowledgable and well-researched (safe too!)

Cheers!

You have beakers! :P
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex
