Chemical Kinetics - Is Δ the same as D
« on: September 25, 2015, 02:05:37 PM »
Determine the rate of reaction with respect to [SO2].

2 SO2(g) + O2(g)  :rarrow: 2 SO3

This was a multiple choice question on a practice question. I believe the correct answer is

-(1/2)(Δ[SO2]/Δt)

One of the possible answers is very close to this except instead of having Δt in the denominator it has Dt. Do these mean the same thing here? Thanks Much in advance!
