Writing Ions
« on: October 06, 2015, 10:58:55 PM »
Write the ions present in the solution of:
1. Pb(NO3)2
2. (NH4)2SO4
3. KNO3
4. NH4Cl

I keep trying to submit the answers I'm getting when I solve these but the website is telling me that I'm identifying the phases wrong and I don't know what that means! Please help me!

These are the answers I got:
1. Pb2^+,NO3^-
2. NH4^+,SO2^-
3. K^+,NO3^-
4. NH4^+,Cl^-

No idea what it means either. Some online HW systems are known for their input quirks.

SO2^-

This one is definitely wrong as written.

Pb2^+ too is wrong.
I can't tell for your website, but Chemicalforums offers easy subscripts and superscripts just over the typing window, like atomium43+.
