sodium chloride hygroscopic level
« on: November 03, 2015, 01:18:42 AM »
Is it possible to increase a substance's hygroscopicity? For instance, potassium chloride is hygroscopic to the point it becomes deliquesced, fully dissolved. However, sodium chloride, as I understand, is only hygroscopic to the point where it becomes a solid mass. Is it possible to alter sodium chloride in such a way so that it deliquesces?

Thanks
