friedel-craft reaction with iodine

friedel-craft reaction can work with iodine as the halide? like with iodoarenes or iodoalkanes?.
if not, why it wouldn't work with iodine?

Acyl iodides react photochemically without Lewis acid as catalyst to form Friedel-Crafts acylation compounds.
Search literature around 2010 year.

the same goes for iodoarenes and iodoalkanes?. i am not realy good with searching with google and the only thing i managed to find is articles about carbon-nitrogen bond cleaveage reaction
