hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell
« on: May 02, 2006, 07:37:15 PM »
When calculating the total output of a hydrogen-oxygen fuel cell, should one work with the standard free energies of formation of the compounds involved (hydrogen, oxygen, and water) or just the standard enthalpies of formations?  I believe free energy needs to be taken into account in order to properly estimate the total work output of the cell but I am not sure on this point.
