Crystallization literature
« on: March 18, 2016, 08:09:50 AM »
Can somebody please reccommend a book or a review article dealing with crystallization of organic compounds on small scale? How to grow specific forms, which solvent to choose, how to avoid formation of colloids etc.

All what I was able to find were a couple of textbooks on industrial-scale crystallization of mostly inorganic compounds.

From molecules to crystallizers - an introduction to crystallization by Roger Davey and John Garside. A really good 75 page book dealing with how to design crystallisation experiments and what you need to know before you start an experiment. I just finished reading it and am currently writing a lit review based on its structure.
