First order reactions
« on: March 20, 2016, 03:24:39 AM »
I'm doing my Chem homework and am a bit stumped when it comes to first order reactions. The question states that each of the following choices represents a sequence of measurements taken at equal times apart. The concentrations are all measured in the same units. Which sequence of concentrations most suggests that a substance is being used up for a first oder reaction? Thanks in advance :)

(a) 100, 99, 90, 79, 49
(b) 100, 90, 60, 40, 30
(c) 80, 40, 20, 10, 5
(d) 80, 60, 40, 20, 0
(e) 100, 90, 70, 40, 10
