I'm about to start anaylzing some kind of mud for transition metal(a.k.a. heavy metal) ions for school chem club project.
I'm curious about whether reaction with EDTA-> GC analysis is useful.
Can you give me some great answers?

What is the reaction you expect to happen? Also, is the result of the reaction volatile enough for GC analysis?
