does anyone know why a nail rusts faster in a 1.5% salt concentration solution (salt + water) than in a 0.5% or 2.0% salt concentration solution?

I set up an experiment, and those were the results (the nails in the 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0% salt solutions rusted a lot less than the one in the 1.5% salt solution). They were all placed in beakers with water and salt (each beaker with a different salt concentration). I thought that if it had more salt then it would rust more and faster... why did this happen?

How precise is your result? How have you measured reaction speed?

Note that iron ions are complexed by chlorides, this can influence whole experiment.

now do that experiment 100 more times and give it to your buddies to do 100 times and then tell them to give it to their buddies to do 100 times and so on. then you will have precise data, maybe.  :P
