Diluting standard solution...
« on: July 14, 2016, 07:40:40 AM »
Hello all...

I am really struggling to make some calculations

I have a 1000ppm standard solution that I need to dilute in 50ml to make a 100ppb solution

I have a notebook full of scribbles but none of them make sense anymore! (I have been away for 6 months cause I had a baby and now it feels like my brain has been wiped completely)

Could anyone point me in the right direction please?  have been stuck for a while

Note. I think I remember I was micropipetting 0.025ml in 50ml to make it a 100ppb solution but I'm not sure...

How many parts are there in your 50 ml of 100ppb solution?

What volume of 1000 ppm contains this number of parts?
