12 AUG 2004: Coordination Chemistry

(1/1)

Donaldson Tan:
Explain the basis of the following statements: A complex in which three oxalate (C2O42-) ligands are present may have an octahedral coordination geometry

ATMyller:
Because oxalate is a bidentate ligand.

Mitch:
That makes sense.

AWK:
But only "may have". Attached structure of TiO(Ox)3 (3-) anion. What about its cordination geometry?
