ZnS
« on: October 09, 2016, 02:33:25 PM »
I have buffer solution (HCOOH and for example HCOONa) and mix of cations (Zn2+, Fe2+, Al3+, Cr3+, Fe3+, Mn2+, Ni2+, Co2+). I add H2S or CH3CSNH2. Can I obtain selective sediment of ZnS? Zinc sulphide, nickel sulphide, cobalt sulphide have similar solubility. I think those sulphides can precipitate together.

You will need pH of the buffer as a first step.
