How to make calcium orotate?
« on: October 29, 2016, 05:58:13 PM »
I'm looking for the highest water solubility form of calcium and stumbled upon 'orotate'.   Also read that calcium hydroxide is highly soluble.
... Is it possible for a home gardener to create his own hydroxide/orotate supplement without a lab?

Would also be interested in magnesium orotate to compliment the calcium.

Calcium hydroxide is poorly soluble in water (~2g/L).
Do not try your own medications. It may be very dangerous for your health.

If it is for gardening, you don't want too high concentration of neither calcium nor magnesium (nor any other salt). Google for physiological drought.

If it is for your own medication - please read the forum rules.
