Activated carbon question
« on: March 22, 2017, 04:00:18 PM »
Hi,

I'm looking to purchase some activated carbon to use in toothpaste and a water filter. The stuff I have found online is quite expensive for a small pot so I was wondering if I purchase a kilo from the pet store for less money to use in my water filter (for kettle) and toothpaste, would this be safe or is there anything different about it apart from how it's marketed? I assume activated carbon from a pet store is just as pure as the 'cosmetic' branded stuff online due to the nature of the substance right?

Thanks
