Zn ion concetration
« on: April 11, 2017, 05:35:10 AM »
Hi.I have one problem.Calculate the concetration of Zn ion if you mixed 20 mL of EDTA concetration 0.001M and 25 mL of zinc chloride same concetration.Mixed solutione also have ammonia 0.1 M and pH is 9.From reaction I see that there is more Zn ion and i calculate conditional constant but me solution is inncorect.

No way to help you without seeing what you did (and knowing why you think it is wrong).

From reaction I see that not of all of  Zn ion react with EDTA but I think that Zn ion also rect with ammonia to form new complex .I calculate coefficents of reaction with ligand ammonia using formula for this and coeficent for Y4- also using formula
