Strongest Reducing agent of the lot
« on: June 09, 2006, 03:29:43 AM »
Can someone explain to me which of the following is the strongest reducing agent and why? ???

a) Cr (s)
b) Fe2+ (aq.)
c) Zn (s)
d) H2 (g)

Thanks! :)

By the way, my teacher says that Zn is the right answer. However I feel that the others are more suitable. Isnt Zn is more elecrtronegative than either of the 3? please guide me if i am wrong. thanks again!
