"Lithium" cell battery issue
« on: July 29, 2017, 10:39:21 PM »
No pics (yet), but just bought 32 9V cell batteries advertised as lithium batteries, opened one up, and found out that contained inside was a wire mesh atop a cake of black, moist, ethanol-scented sponge, with no lithium in sight. Could I be right to assume I was sold Li-ion batteries advertised as lithium batteries?

OK.  This page has an image from a watch-sized battery. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithium_battery#Description  Are the parts similar, and how do they compare to images of lithium-ion batteries.
Hey, I'm not judging.  I just like to shoot straight.  I'm a man of science.

Huh, the lithium is on the back casing? Ok, thanks for the reply, either my eyesight is worse than I thought or I am actually stupid.
