Thermal decomposition question

We're doing an experiment on the thermal decompostion of copper sulfate pentahydrate, one of the questions is... Can you think of a quick test to show that the substance removed from your sample is in fact water.

any ideas??  :) :)

i was thinking cobalt chloride paper test. Turns from blue to pink??

That's one idea.  You can easily make a list of all the properties of water, and absolutely pick any one or any number of them.
