Ok so this Q is really easy.Its finding the heat of formation of C2H6 which is fine bt i have to write out an eqn for C2H6 and i just dont know how to do it!
Im given 3 other eqns which are C+O2----------->Co2,      H2+1/2O2----------->H2O,        "C2H6+7O2-------->4CO2+6H2O.
I know how to find the heat of formation i just need to write the chemical eqn for C2H6 first.Its not right to just say 2C+3H2-------->C2H6,is it? Thanks!

thanks.I think you'll find my spelling was a mistake and I thought this was a Chemistry Forum, not an english one.Seen as your correcting my spelling I feel it is only right that I correct your bad grammer. You should have said i should use better spelling not "use a better spelling"

Thanks a mill the pages really helped!Now I can do all alkane combustion equations! Its weird,in 2 days time im never going to be doing chemistry calculations and other chemistry related stuff,i may actually miss it!
