iron oxide & S/P reactions

(1/1)

Neil:
I am investigating the reactions of Iron oxide with sulphur/phosphorous compounds.

If I have a compound S=P(SR)(OR)2 and iron oxide, would the oxygen bind through the S in the S=P ?

would the S act as a Lewis base? (or acid)

if the reaction were done under extreme pressure/temperature, the reaction would proceed to form iron sulphide and/or iron phosphate/phosphite (i guess) - any ideas how this would occur?

many thanks,

Neil
