I need help with this General Chemistry percent yield problem. The question reads:
A copper ore consisting of 100% copper(II) sulfide, when heated and reacted with oxygen gas, produces copper(II) oxide and sulfur dioxide. If the reaction has a 11.25% yield, how many grams of copper(II) oxide are produced when 1.00 kg of the copper ore is processed?
I know that the balanced equation is 2CuS + 3O2 -> 2CuO + 2SO2. I also know that the equation for % yield is actual yield/theoretical yield * 100. However I'm not sure where to go from here. Someone please help? Thanks a bunch!
