Welcome, mom.bob!

After a brief Internet search, it seems that cosmetic paraffin wax is generally a mixture, hence no single chemical formula, and may consist of different kinds of compounds:
- Paraffin, a long saturated hydrocarbon obtained from crude oil;
- Wax-like compounds, similar to paraffins but with a carboxylic acid function at one end, or esters of such fatty acids.

You may check Wikipedia for paraffin and for wax.
