How to calculate ppm? help please!

Hi,
I am using lavenda oil and I want to test it on mites, however I need a quantity of 2 ml at 15, 30 and 60 ppm how do I calculate it? Please help..!!!!

a ppm is calculated in the same way as a percentage only then multiply with 10^6 instead of 100%.

Thanks Scooby but I still cannot figure it out...Please I am not chemist!

For example as I  want to make 60 ppm, how to do it step by step please. How much ml of the lavenda and the solvent I have to put into the vvial to have 60 ppm? Thanks in advance please please help.. I am online my msn = alicemyen2@hotmail.com

use the following formula:

(volume lavenda oil / total volume (2 mL)) * 10^6 = 15/30/60

from this formula you can see that 1 ppm = 1 nL in 1 mL (is we speak of volume-ppm)
