Uncertainty Principle
« on: June 02, 2018, 10:51:53 PM »
These questions are very linked to each-other, many even the same, but here goes.
How does the uncertainty principle prove that electrons do not attach themselves directly to protons in the nucleus of an atom? It would be great if someone could also explain why electrons do not directly attach themselves to the protons in the nucleus of an atom?

Welcome, pennytreadful!

Can you relate the volume occupied by an electron with its momentum, and then with its energy?
