CO separation with absorption process
« on: August 31, 2018, 04:31:26 AM »
Hello dear chemists

I need help regarding carbon monoxide separation with absorption processes (like COSORB, COPure).

according to J.A. Hogendoorn, W.P.M. van Swaaij, G.F. Versteeg ; the absorption in the COSORB process is controlled by mass transfer, which makes the determination of the reaction mechanism and rate constants impossible. this literature is from 1995, do you know if there is a way to determine these parameters?

what are the other CO separation methods that depends on absorption? (do you recommend any literature in this regard?)
I couldn't find clear answers  so I need help from specialists since my background is in mechanical engineering!
