Hi,

I just need a little clarification on one thing.  I am asked to rank the following in order of decreasing X-P-X angles: PCl3, PBr3, PI3.

From what I have always known, I said PI3>PBr3>PCl3 since the atoms bonded to the central atom gets larger.  Is this correct?  Thanks so much.

Thats what I would say.
Most Common Suggestions I Make on the Forums.
1. Start by writing a balanced chemical equation.
2. Don't confuse thermodynamic stability with chemical reactivity.
3. Forum Supports LaTex
