does bro3 (bromine trioxide,if i'm not mistaken)has covalent bond OR covalent bond with ionic characteristics?is CaS  covalent bond with ionic characteristics?

I don't think BrO3 exists.

when thinking about ionic/covalent character you should look at the difference in electronegativity between the elements involved.
A large difference constitutes a more ionic bond - so CsF is ionic, whereas CH4 is covalent.

Furthermore, if the compound was ionic, consider the charge on each hypothetical ion - generally speaking, a charge of 4 or more on an ion is very unlikely.
