My lecturer give me a task on giving a great point , why is your element is better than other elements ... I "hv" to pick Boron ...What isI concern is , why Boron ??? what is special more aboutBoron  than other elements... i only knows its metalloid capability . Can somebody tell me what is more advantages does Boron hv ??? I mean ... I must compare Boron with other elements... Thank you for any of u that could help meĀ  ;D

One of the best books to start from for elemental comparisons is "Chemistry of the elements" by Greenwood and Earnshaw. There is a large chapter devoted to Boron.

It is jammed full of tons of compounds formed by every element on the periodic table. Probably the most important thing to mention about Boron is the extensive range of borane clusters and three-centre-two-electron bonding.

If I were you, I would simply look for a decent inorganic chem book.
From your post I infer you just need to point out some of the major features of your element, don't you?

I actually know a professor who would probably say that boron is better than all of the other elements (Fred Hawthorne, who made his career studying boron).  You can check out the following link to see what he has to say about boron:

You can also google boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) for an interesting biomedical application of boron.
