1.How would I predict the sign of delta H and delta S when the electrolysis of molten sodium chloride when electrical energy is supplied? How would temperature influence the direction of this reaction?

NaCl (l) ---> Na(l) + .5 Cl2(g)

The only thing i can predict is that delta H and delta S will be positive because it requires an extensive amount of energy to go from liquid to solid, and that increasing the temperature will cause the reaction to go in the reverse direction does this make sense?

2. When silver nitrate reacts with copper metal, how would I write a balanced equation in an acidic or neutral solution?

is this right? Cu(s) + 2AgNO3 ---> 2AG+  +  Cu(NO3)2

First of all, charge is not balanced. Second - silver is oxidizer here and gets reduced, it didn't changed in your reaction.
