Question regarding lab error
« on: February 28, 2019, 10:22:12 PM »
A heat calorimetry lab was performed to determine the molar enthalpy of combustion for magnesium. The reaction is represented by these equations.

I’m having trouble finding an error for my error analysis. I was told to ignore heat loss that comes as a result of the styrofoam cup used, and to find other errors. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks!

PS: There was some hinting of hydrogen gas being involved in a possible error, maybe that helps…
