Question on Synthesis of a Carboxylic Acid

How do I synthesize this carboxylic acid from benzene? I came across this question in preparation for my exam coming up and I am not sure how exactly to go about this. Help would be much appreciated.

Can you identify the flaw in the given set of reagents?
Identify the step(s) that cause the problem first. Then see how you can fix it with the available reagents.
