Hi,

I have a molecule of interest (MOI) that possess an functional group similar to acetylacetone, and multiple hydroxyl groups. I would like to form a coordination compound with either Calcium or Magnesium at the Acac group. The MOI is not soluble in water and a later reactant is not stable in the presence of water, so the reaction has to be anhydrous.

Does anyone have any suggestions/reaction procedures for how I can go about making this complex?
I am not familiar with many Coordination reactions, having only taken Inorganic Chem I.
