Can I just be a pure chemist? [Career advice]
« on: May 18, 2019, 02:31:42 PM »
Is it possible for me to be a chemist (kinda like alchemy) to research only chemical substances or am I forced to "majorly" deal with technology, engineering, and biology?  :-\
I say majorly because I don't mind dealing with a teeny tiny bit of bio and tech, as long as it's simple and basic. However, I mostly want to do research on just chemicals without the use of advanced technology nor having a huge knowledge of computer science, engineering, and biology.

As a hobby you can do whatever you want, but if you want to make a career of it you'll need money, and nobody is going to fund alchemy I'm afraid.
