A student is adding 1.110g of BaCl
2x6H
20 to a 1.00L solution containing 0.584g of NaCl. Calculate the chloride ion concentration in mol/L. Assume the volume of solution does not change.
Correct answer is 0.0170 mol/l
Im super lost because we weren't supposed to come up with the chemical formula in order to do this. so I found the mols of hydrated Barium chloride (1.110g/316.24gx1mol)=3.51x10
-3 and also the NaCl which was 1.0x10
-3 that is legitimately where I stopped because I had no idea
i think im just really overthinking this because I do truly know how to do chemistry...I just didnt interpret this correctly. Help
