Hello
I'm working on a question that asks me to use the ideal gas equation to calculate the corresponding volume (in litres) of oxygen gas at a standard atmospheric pressure (SATP) of 25degrees Celsius and 100 kPa (1bar)
- the question relies on a previous calculations of O
2n = 18.49
T = 25 + 273
= 298
So Pv=nRT and to solve for V the equation rearranges to V = nRT/P
18.49 x 8.314 x 298 / 100
= 45710.306
Just to double check I typed all my working out into an online ideal gas calculator and there I get an answer of 458.128 Litres
Have I forgotten to convert units somewhere?
appreciate any insight
