« on: April 17, 2021, 06:24:07 PM »
I am trying to solve this equation

 C2H6     +      O2 :rarrow:      CO2+        H2O

How I did is?

1 c2H6    +3.5O2 :rarrow:       2CO2+  3H2O

Can anyone tell me its right or not ? or what mistake i made?

Generally, you shouldn't use non-integer stoichiometric coefficients (this isn't always the case). Although, from this, it's technically correct. Good measure would be to multiply both sides by 2 to get whole numbers.
