ok, i stole some chemicals from my teacher's cabinet and poured them into a container:

hydrogen peroxide (h2o2) + iron filings (i dont know) + cupric chloride (cucl2)

i just did it and its like fizzing in my garage. what is it making?

Write out a balanced equation, or at least right out the reactant side, and tell us what you think it may be.

peroxide isn't that dangerous lol

But you are right; never pour something together when you are unsure of what it will do; and definitely don't steal chemicals from your teacher's  cabinet -.-


Anyway, write down what the original contents are that you poured together and start from that. Don't forget water, as I am almost sure the peroxide must have been in solution.

Though, not in the concentration a teach would have sitting around in a high school lab.

He is in Italy, that was the first thing I've checked.
