Preservatives of Fish oils
« on: January 13, 2007, 12:58:39 PM »
Hello to all,

I would like to know the preservatives used in fish oils for its longevity and its general concentration. Particularly used in Omega-3 & 6 fatty acids bulk productions.

with warm regards,
T.Nageshwar :)

Have you checked the container you bought it in. Or if you haven't bought any; go out, and find some at a store. Then read the container. The preservative should theoretically be listed under ingredients.

Thanks for your responce
But I am doing project work at analytical division. The project is aimed to produce Omega-3 enriched Fatty acids(ester form) from fish oils. My problem is fractionated oil is getting rancid after few days.
Kindly give an idea to keep.

Thank you once again.
