Methylcellulose Application Notes
« on: November 21, 2008, 01:42:07 PM »
I'd like some feedback from professionals working on methylcellulose.

I am attaching the application notes from our company's website:

Thank you for your time.

Hello jparkx1,

It looks interesting and shows some promise.

By the way, why wouldn't the company just work on fine-tuning the filter and washing of cellulose in the first place?

Sincerely,

Eugene

Sorry for the late response.

A conventional filter won’t get the job done since the opening is too big to filter out the cellulose in suspended solid form. When recovery of cellulose is the priority, a membrane must be used. For some reasons unknown, the product line always loses around 5 to 10% of cellulose into the wastewater stream during the washing process.
