Unique but tricky questions for you scientists!
« on: December 29, 2009, 09:31:10 PM »
I actually have quite a few questions for you guys.

My first question is, are there any types of water dissolvable materials that can contain a gel like substance in a shape without in turn being dissolved from the gel?

I know there is a paper material that dissolves completely in water, but don't really know if it can hold a substance on it without the paper being dissolved.  Can anyone clarify?

My second question is, would there be any type of substance I could use, form it into a hollow shape (like a square) and then inject a gel like substance (soap, or aloe vera) into it, but then have the hollowed shape somehow dissolve in water?

This is a pretty tricky question but let me know guys I really need help on my final project and am looking for some smart people!!  ;D

There are many ways of creating a caste that can be used as a mold.
One method uses Plaster of Paris, which comes to mind.
You create the mold in 2 halves.
The creation uses water to make the mold, but after that the mold is solid in water.
After you created the mold you put it together and pour in the soap
Let it harden and then separate the molds.

remember that the mold is solid after creation
