****Question: Pressure
« on: March 26, 2010, 12:48:36 AM »
the pressure of the gas in the 1.00 L bulb is 679 mm Hg and that of the gas is the 0.500 L bulb is 428 mm Hg

What is the pressure (mm Hg) of the system when both valves are opened, assuming the temperature remains constant ?
(neglect the volume of the capillary tube connecting the bulbs)

Matias already gave you an important hint. Other hint would be - how many moles of gas together? What is the final volume?
