« on: October 24, 2010, 11:19:03 PM »
Hi,

If I had want to convert 3.5 mL of 9M H2SO4(sulfuric Acid) to its amount in moles how would I do this?What would the answer in moles be?

Thanks

Not sure this should be in Organic Chemistry but....

M=mol/L

So convert your mL to Liters and you have your molarity so you should have your moles.

Definition of molarity:

C=n/V

Solve for n, and - as saden99 wrote - don't forget to convert mL to L.
