1,2 DICHLOROPROPANE

Can 1,2 Dichloropropane be used as a replacement of Toluene in the manufacturing of alkyd resins??

No, probably reaction with it. And why to exvhange to halogene containing solvent? Not enviremently friendly.

thank you. could you do me a favor and point out the paint applications where it can be used as a replacement for other solvents??
