Do I got to know these things for AP Chem?
« on: December 20, 2011, 04:25:44 PM »
Clasius-Clabeyron equation
Bragg equation
Names of unit cells
How to find edge length given the atomic radii and type of packing (or vice versa)

If yes, does anyone have a method to memorize these equations (a mnemonic) I find it very hard to memorize them. . . :-[

I got a 5 on the AP Chem exam last year, and as far as I know, you don't have to memorize any of those. Unless they drastically changed everything this year, you definitely don't really have to know the Bragg equation or how to find the edge length of unit cells (etc). I don't believe that you have to know the names of unit cells either (but I'm not 100% sure on this).

The only place the Clausius-Clapeyron might appear is in the free response section, and if it appears here, they will give you the equation.

YES YES YES THANK YOU

WAIT, I later heard that most equations are actually given in a sheet for you? Is that true?
