well.. thanks. i did get the same name for the first structure through Chemdraw. but i couldnt understand the meaning of 2, 1-diyl. thats why i wrote "i am a bit confused". i would appreciate if you can explain what that means..

ok guys.. finally i could get the IUPAC names of these molecules. here it is just in case anybody is interested.

a) tert-butyl 2-(2-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)aminoethyl)aminoethylcarbamate

b) tert-butyl 2-((2-(tert-butoxycarbonyl)aminoethyl)(3-bromopropyl)amino) ethylcarbamate
