Synthesis of a cyclic molecule from starting molecule
« on: January 01, 2015, 09:39:32 AM »
Hi,

Hi,

I am currently struggling to see how to get from the starting aldehyde molecule to the final cyclic molecule (both attached) - would anyone be able to point me in the right direction/ suggest some reagents that could potentially be used?

Thanks

It looks like you are studying electrocyclic reactions, in this case a 3+2 addition, hint, nitr?ne.
