Why does 2,2-dimethylpropane have a lower boiling point than 2,3-dimethylpropane? Does anyone know?

2,2- is more spherical and has lower surface area than 2,3-

err 2,3 dimethyl propane doesn't exist for a start...
it would be methyl butane
